Where To Check For Rust

Rust

Rust in a car not only costs you money, but can be a serious safety issue.  You should be especially vigilant when purchasing a second hand vehicle.

Where To Look

If buying a used car, look for rust in the following places...

  • Under floor mats
  • Under carpets
  • Inside boot wells
  • Doorsills
  • Door panels
  • Under the vehicle
  • Check the paintwork for obvious signs, such as raised 'bubbles'

If you are looking to purchase a used motor vehicle, Repco Authorised Service conduct a comprehensive motor vehicle condition report to assess the condition of any motor vehicle.  Find out more about our 150 Point Comprehensive Vehicle Condition Report.
